What happened
OpenAI’s help page says that, starting in December, Plus, Pro and Business usage will be shared across ChatGPT and Codex and measured in Tokens: The small chunks of text a model reads and writes, often a word or part of a word. Glossary. Instant chat will not draw from that allowance. OpenAI says combined remaining usage and reset times will appear in Settings → Usage. The page does not specify an exact December start date or per-plan token amounts.
